A part of the former the Fox Ridge golf course, this 95-acre piece of property was converted to public use as a nature park in early 2015. The purchase of the property was paid for in part by the state’s Bicentennial Nature Trust grant project and development efforts are ongoing as part of a federal Land and Water Conservation Fund grant. The focus of the Fox Ridge Nature Park is to allow the public a space for passive recreation, which means walking and hiking, bicycling, fishing and exploring the natural world that inhabits the park.
