Countdown to Rendezvous

Preparations are being made at the French Commons for the 33rd Annual Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous.  For weeks now volunteers have been mowing, trimming back trees and making repairs as necessary to vendor booths, gates, etc.  In just 5 days the grounds will be filled with the aromas, sights and sounds of the American Revolutionary War period.  Take a step back in time and relish this living history event!

“The wheels on the bus go round and round…” all of the way to Vincennes!!!

It is school tour season and Jeremiah Gray – Edison Elementary School of Indianapolis, Indiana braved a Spring Storm to bring 100 students, 6 teachers, and 58 chaperones to Vincennes for their annual field trip.  The group toured the Vincennes State Historic Sites, Grouseland and the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park.  The CVB has booked 70 tours for this Spring Season.  Wow, thats a lot of organizing and scheduling!

Three cheers for all of the schools who visited Historic Vincennes in this 2009 school tour season!!!
