Walk with the Natives

The Vincennes State Historic Sites is hosting the Walk with Natives program this Saturday March 27 at Sugarloaf Mound.  The program features an interactive nature and native culture program for children of all ages. Participants will learn about native culture and make native crafts all for the low price of $5 per child.  For more information or to make reservations contact the Vincennes State Historic Sites at 812.882.7422.

2010 Annual Dinner/Meeting

The Vincennes/Knox County CVB will host it’s annual membership dinner/meeting at Braytens Restaurant next Tuesday night March 23rd at 6pm.  The featured speaker is Jocelyn Vare with Propeller Marketing.  Propeller Marketing was hired by the Southern Indiana Regional Marketing Co-op to market the region.  Vincennes/Knox County is a memeber of SIRMC.  The dinner is free to CVB members and $15.00 for non-members.  To make last minute reservations call 812.886.0400.

A new gift item is being offered by the Vincennes/Knox County CVB, stone absorbent coasters featuring the first city logo.   Practical and patriotic, this boxed set of 4 is value priced at $12.00!  On sale at the CVB office at 779 S. Sixth Street, Vincennes.  Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.

Sunny Days

The forecast for this weekend, low 50’s and sunny.  What a great weekend to get out of the house and visit some of Vincennes’ attractions.  Take the architecture tour of Main Street or do a little shopping downtown.  The architecture tour brochure  is available on this website under the documents section.  The historic sites are open on Saturday and would welcome your visit.  If you feel like staying outside visit Ouabache Trails Park, hike the trails or pack a picnic lunch.  Whatever it is you choose to do this weekend, Enjoy!
