The Highway 50 yard sale is going on this weekend.  Vincennes participates in this event by encouraging our locals to have a yard sale if they live along the route.  Signs have been put out along the route to direct visitors throughout town.  The route begins on Vigo Street just over the bridge and runs to 7th Street, turn left and follow 7th Street which turns into Washington Avenue through town and all the way out to the new Highway 50.  For more information on the sale visit http://www.route50.com/yardsale.html

The CVB is very excited to offer cell phone tours of the historic sites to our visitors and locals alike.  With the help of WZDM, recordings have been uploaded and made available by calling 812.703.4004 and selecting the number of the site one wishes to hear.  Signs have been installed at the sites and a cell phone tour map is available on the CVB website.   Don’t delay call today!

The Indiana Military Museum is now open daily for tours, noon to 4:00pm.  Located at 2074 North Old Bruceville Road in Vincennes the museum features a collection of vintage vehicles, weaponry, uniforms and artifacts from the Civil War through the current war.  Outdoor and indoor exhibits are on display.  Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children.  For more information on the Indiana Military Museum visit http://www.indianamilitarymuseum.org
