The Wabash Valley Wine Trail is hosting a Summer Festival on Saturday, July 31 from 3:00pm – 9:00pm (CST) at Lasata Winery, Lawrenceville, Illinois. Music will be provided by the group, “THREE” and five local wineries will be pouring samples and offering their wines for sale. A $10.00 entry includes your tasting glass. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy food and wines from Fox Creek Vineyards, Lasata Winery, Shawnee Winery, Vahling Vineyards and Berryville Vineyards. Lasata Winery is located across the Wabash River from Vincennes, Indiana, one mile north of Westport, Illinois, near Roberson Hills on scenic Highway 33. 3 Days of Good Ole Fun
Oaktown will be hosting the Good Ole Oaken Days this weekend. The festival begins on Friday at 4:00pm with Coneys being served at the Community Center and concludes on Sunday at 5:00pm with the parade. Saturday is jam packed full of events including town wide yard sales, a 5K run/walk and music to name a few. If you looking for a Good time, plan to visit Oaktown this weekend! Wheatfest 2010, Wheatland, IN
Everyone in Wheatland is gearing up for Wheatfest 2010 and this year’s event promises to be another fabulous family event. Beginning on Friday, July 9, the United Methodist Church will be hosting a chicken noodle dinner, followed by music by “Circle of Friends”. Saturday’s events begin in the morning with a 5k run/walk and Bruce Borders will perform his “Elvis” show later in the evening. Sunday’s events include a car show and a parade.
