Fruits and Flowers Trail

It’s not too late to enjoy the produce of the season.  Check out the Fruits and Flowers Trail.

The Southern Indiana Regional Marketing Cooperative announces the launch of a new trail designed to attract visitors to the area to enjoy local produce and agricultural activities this fall season. The Fruits & Flowers Trail highlights local establishments such as farm markets, orchards, gardens and restaurants that are sprinkled throughout the 17-county area. Each establishment was selected to represent locally produced favorites offering travelers a unique Indiana fall experience.

A total of 36 establishments are included in the Fruits & Flowers Trail this fall, representing a variety of agricultural experiences such as corn mazes, pumpkin patches, farm markets, farm-to-table restaurants and more. Visitors to these establishments will receive a local recipe that features homegrown items to take a flavor of Indiana home with them.

In Knox County this fall, the two establishments included in the Fruits & Flowers Trail are Prairie Acres Farm Market and Restaurant in Oaktown and the Big Peach in Bruceville. At either of these two locations, visitors can pick up a recipe for Watermelon Salsa.
