Red Skelton Museum Grand Opening

The Grand Opening and ribbon cutting for the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy will be held on Thursday, July 18 at 5:30pm. Vincennes’ favorite son, Red Skelton was born in a home near the new museum and this date was chosen for what would have been his 100th Birthday! The evening includes tours of the museum and a performance beginning with remarks by Lothian Skelton and Red’s close friend, Jamie Farr (former star of television series, M*A*S*H) followed by skits performed by Tom Mullica, Red Skelton impersonator. Tickets are on sale now, prices for the grand opening reception and tours ranging from $30 to $100. The celebration continues on Friday, July 19 featuring free admission for Seniors (over 60 yrs. old) and “Family Day” on Saturday, July 20 with free admission for kids (18 and under) accompanied by a parent. For grand opening tickets and more information contact Anne Pratt at apratt@vinu.edu or 812.888.2105. *The Red Skelton Museum is located at 20 Red Skelton Boulevard, Vincennes.

I love that phrase 40+years ago I remember I received
    as a gift from
Red Skelton foundation …..? 100.00 maybe 200. for clothing
4th or 5th grade, best day ever and Red Skelton was always
    that memory of.
