Welcome to Indiana’s Territorial Past, located in Vincennes and Knox County.

Indiana’s first city is the perfect getaway for history enthusiasts.

Spring on Main

“Spring on Main” will take place on Friday June 3rd on Main Street in downtown Vincennes.  The event includes cars, art, music, beer and wine tasting and food.  Classic car owners are encouraged to bring their cars for a cruise-in down the middle of Main Street.  The three downtown art galleries will have their traditional First Friday Art Walks.  Heartworks by Amanda Oakes will have a canvas painting class in front of the Northwest Territory art Guild on the street.  Live music by the Hip Replacements and Memory Lane will fill the streets.  Tasting tickets will be sold for craft beer and wine and include a commemorative glass (must be 21 years old and have proper ID).  Food vendors include the Asian Market, Barmes’ Chicken on a Stick and the Thai-na-mite truck.  For those attending as families there will be children’s games provided by Thursday Church.  Several downtown stores will have extended hours during the event so attendees have an opportunity to shop as well.  All proceeds will benefit INVin and their renovation efforts in downtown Vincennes.
