Welcome to Indiana’s Territorial Past, located in Vincennes and Knox County.

Indiana’s first city is the perfect getaway for history enthusiasts.

Spend some time in the Great Outdoors this weekend!

This weekend’s forecast looks great for some hiking.  The George Rogers Clark National Historical Park is hosting the Hike with a Ranger series on Thursday and Saturday morning at 10am through September.   Walk from the park’s visitor center, 401 N. Second Street, to the Riverwalk and beyond. The rangers will discuss the historical significance of several sites on the way.  Hikers will also have the option to take the “Monuments and Markers Scavenger Hunt”.  There is no charge for the walking tour and should take approximately one hour.  Walkers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring drinking water.

If you can’t make the Park Ranger walk, visit Fox Ridge Nature Park or Ouabache Trails Park.  Both parks offer great walking trails in a natural environment.

Saturday evening George Rogers Clark NHP will host “Astronomy Night” the last event offered in the 2018 Junior Rangers Series.  Attendees can participate in astronomy themed crafts and games and look through 1 of 4 telescopes.
